Gilbert Gonzalez Cantu Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the age of 87 years.  He was born in Karnes City, Texas on June 13, 1931 to Gilbert Cantu Sr. and Virginia Gonzalez Cantu. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents and also his sister, Maria Luisa Cantu.  He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa M. Cantu; son, Gilbert Cantu III, daughter, Olga Chapa; grandson, Reymundo Chapa Jr. and wife Jennifer. Gilbert's wishes were to be cremated.
