George David Rodriguez at 72 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2025. George was born on November 08, 1952, to his parents Benito and Dorotea Rodriguez in San Antonio, Texas. George was a very loving person. His dedication for education was admirable. With his masters degree in education, George taught for over thirty years. His few hobbies included fishing, hunting, and watching old westerns. He is survived by his wife Amada Rodriguez- forty-five years of marriage, two children Jorge Rodriguez (Sarah), and Valeria Cantu (John); four grandchildren: Kalina, Khalil, Meelah, and Remy; four sisters: Biola Ordonez, Arlene Pantoja, Dora Valdez, and Angelita Torres; also, numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Benito Flores Rodriguez, and Dorotea Rodriguez, sisters Edna Alice Rodriguez and Virginia Sepulveda, and brother Benito Rodriguez Jr.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April, 28, 2025, at Southside Funeral Home from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 a departure will take place from Southside Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M for an 11:30 A.M funeral mass at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
