Francisco Javier Gonzales, Jr., age 39, passed away on August 11, 2025, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 30, 1986, in San Antonio, Francisco was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth and light to those around him.

He was the son of the late Francisco Javier Gonzales, Sr. and Mary Esther Ortega, and was also preceded in death by his niece, Laurelin Estina DeLuna.

Francisco is survived by his sister Jessica Ann Ortega and his brother Gorge Ortega and Gorge's partner, Sandy Quiñones. He was a proud and loving uncle to his niece and nephews Alexis, Eric, and Francisco.

Francisco had a passion for working on cars and motorcycles—a true hands-on spirit who found joy in fixing and building with care. He also cherished spending quiet moments with his family, especially watching TV together. His love, kindness, and easygoing nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.

Francisco's family will be receiving visitors at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm.

On Thursday, August 21, a funeral Mass at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church will take place at 11:00am. The interment will be held at San Jose Burial Park for his final resting place.

In honor of Francisco's memory, the family encourages loved ones to cherish time with one another and to carry his spirit forward with love and togetherness.
