Fidel C. Gonzales was born on September 27, 1931 went to be with the Lord October 18, 2017 at the age of 86.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Maria S. Gonzales of 29 years; his twin sons, David and Daniel, his parents Fidel Gelacio and Maria Del Refugio Gonzales, brothers Rev. Manuel and Robert Gonzales, sister Ernestine G. Carrillo and is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Amelia Gonzales, his children, Anna (Johnny), Richard (Rosa), Raymond (Evelyn) and Elizabeth (Darren); his sisters, Beatrice Gasca, Celia Lugo, 5 grandchildren; stepsons, Paul (Dinah), Gilbert (Diane) and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday October 29, 2017 at El Sendero Assembly of God, 5408 Daughtry Dr, San Antonio, Texas from 4:45 pm with a 6 pm service. Monday October 30, 2017 at 8 am the family will receive friends at the church. A service will be held at 8:30 prior to departing at 9:30 am. The burial will take place at 10:00 am, at Fort Sam National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.

Fidel is a native of Texas and a San Antonio resident. He was born September 27, 1931 in San Antonio and passed away October 18, 2017. Fidel retired after 35 years of service at Kelly AFB and a member of El Sendero Assembly of God Church in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the Army during the Korean War Era and was honorably discharged.
