Essie Elizabeth Harper, 78, passed away on May 3, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Essie was born in Leming, Texas to Clarence James and Bertha Irene Dickey, Sr. on July 31, 1938.Essie is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Clyde Harper, Sr., Sons Tommy Clyde Harper, Jr., and Earl Wayne Harper. Essie is survived by her: Daughter Laura Richardson; Granddaughter Lorraine Harper; Great-Grandson Matthew Jacob Garcia; Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78214. A Graveside Service will be held at Jourdanton City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
