Ernestine Ruiz, went to be with the Lord, on August 6, 2014 at the age of 72. Ernestine was a volunteer at the Lighthouse for the Blind and St. Margaret Mary's Activity Center.She is survived by her children; Xavier Hinojosa (Patricia), Melissa A. New (Kevin), Patrick Hinojosa (Michelle),Isabel Newman, father; Gilbert Ruiz, brothers; Manuel Alatorre, Mark Eric Rosales, stepbrother; Ernest Ruiz,sister; Margarita Fonseca, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Ernestine was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Rosales; aunt, Louisa Rios; great-grandson, Angel Galindo; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hinojosa. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at San Fernando II Cemetery.
