Emilio Ortiz, went into eternal rest on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the age of 75. He was born to parents Epifanio Ortiz and Pauline Garza in Redwood, Texas on April 5, 1949. Emilio was a devout Christian who enjoyed watching wrestling.

Emilio is survived by his wife Gloria Ortiz, who shared 38 years of marriage together. His children; Emilio Ortiz Jr., Epifanio Ortiz, Pauline Ortiz, Frank Ortiz, Eric Ortiz, Jacob Ortiz, Mark Ortiz, Jeanette Rodriguez; siblings, Gloria Borrego, Augustina Monreal, Maria Martinez, Epifanio Ortiz, Antonio Ortiz, Eddie Ortiz, Richard Ortiz, David Ortiz, Michael Ortiz. Along with thirty-five grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Edward Rodriguez; brothers, Joe Ortiz, Robert Ortiz; sisters, Margarita Ortiz, Alicia Ortiz; parents, Epifanio and Pauline Ortiz. Emilio will be deeply missed and kept in our hearts. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday August 28, 2024 from 4pm-9pm with a prayer service at 6pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 29, 2024 at Southside Funeral home with a chapel service at 1pm. Interment will follow to Emilio's final resting place at San Jose Burial Park.
