Elva M. Garza, aged 80 passed away October 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Lalo Garza, parents Jose and Celia Madrigal, brother Alfredo Madrigal, sister Belia M. Rangel, sister-in-law Pauline G. Madrigal, brothers in law Emitt Rangel and Elias Salas Sr. and nephew Elias Buda Salas. Mrs. Garza is survived by her sons Joe Garza (Jessica), Anthony Garza (Velinda), granddaughters, Lauren, Gabriella and Scarlett Garza; sisters Mary Rocha (Ruben), Beatrice Nesbitt (Jim); brothers Alfonso Madrigal, Hugo Madrigal (Helen), George Madrigal (Terry) and Robert Madrigal; numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends and other relatives. Eva was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and faithful to her Lord. She loved to dance, play bingo, have a good time and just be the life of the party. Visitations will begin on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 4:00 pm-7pm at Southside Funeral Home 6301 S. Flores Street, San Antonio, TX 78214 with a Rosary to be recited from 7:00 pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at St. James Apostle Catholic Church, 907 W. Theo Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78225. Interment will follow at El Carmen Catholic Cemetery, 18555 Leal Road, San Antonio, Texas 78221.
