Dorothy Fender went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the age of ninety-six. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 10, 1928 to parents Mark and Lexcia Montgomery. She loved to make ceramics, paintings, and to garden. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who was incredibly involved in her children lives growing up.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Alice Tomlinson (Barry), Mark L. Fender (Robyn), Dale H. Fender (Trina), Samuel Fender;  Ten Grandchildren, Steven Tomlinson, Paul Tomlinson, Michael Tomlinson, Lauryn Hajek (Chris), Andrew Fender, Jenna Guzman (Gabe), Jerremy Fender (Jamie), Caleb Fender, Kaycee Fender, Rachel Fender; two great-grandchildren Evelyn, and Lillian Hajek;  Siblings, Eugene William Montgomery, Velma Cook, Ruby Burns, Donna Ritchey. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Philip L. Fender; brother, Paul Mark Montgomery; and parents, Mark and Lexcia Montgomery.
