Dora Castillo Quiroz went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the age of 89 years. She was an avid San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys fan. Dora enjoyed traveling and gambling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lupe E. Quiroz. Dora is survived by her children, Hilda Ann Salazar and husband Abel, Joseph Quiroz, Randy Quiroz, Ronnie Quiroz and wife Margie, Dennis Quiroz, and Brendalee Anderson and husband Michael; sisters, Ernestine Seik, Minnie Arteaga, and Julie Vasquez; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Monday, May 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 27th for mass to be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
