Dora Galvan went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the age of 88 years. She was born in San Antonio, TX on January 8, 1926 to Juan and Cleotilde Galvan. Dora enjoyed working with the food bank at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and loved shopping at the finest stores. She will be remembered for always helping every one and telling others, "It is not how you love, but how you are loved by others." Dora is survived by her nephews; Roberto Galvan and wife Yolanda and Rogelio Davila; niece, Martha Southers and husband Scott; also numerous great nephews and great nieces. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church on Friday, February 7th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
