Donald Raymond Crawford

December 31, 1935 – February 14, 2016

Donald Crawford, 80, died peacefully on February 14, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Linda Crawford; ex-wife, Doris Mosley; daughter, Brenda Crawford; granddaughter Danett Rodriguez; two great-granddaughters; brother Leonard (Patricia); nephew, Derrick (Mary) and daughter; and niece, Michelle, and daughter and son. Don was born in San Antonio, and grew up in the south part of San Antonio and south Texas. He attended school in Harlandale ISD and went on to graduate college with a Master's Degree. He went to work with his Dad and Uncles in the carpentry trade. He worked for the Carpenter's Local, railroad, Sheriff's Department, and Alamo Heights Police Department. He and Doris reared three children; Brenda, Donald, and David. He later married Linda and became a Mason in Harlandale Lodge #1213 and officer of Harlandale OES #750. He was a Funeral Master for the Masons and served others as an Instructor. He metal detected for fun and enjoyed competition. He loved family, friends, and the world around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Inez; his sons Donald and David; and his brothers, Oliver Wayne, Ricky, and James. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home, with the service to follow on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Cover Cemetery will be attended by the family only.
