Mrs. Cruz Jimenez Perez passed into the sweet hereafter on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born here in San Antonio to loving parents on November 13, 1946. Cruz was a wonderful wife to her beloved Jose known as "Daddy Joe" for fifty-eight years. In that time she was loyal and fearless even going with him to Europe during his military service. That trip helped to grow her love of travel which often saw her going to the beach and collecting beautiful and unique rocks. She was a fun-loving mother to four darling children. Cruz will live on in the hearts of her children Jose J. Perez Jr., Esmeralda A. Perez, Maria A. Perez Garcia (Christopher), and Yvonne L. Garcia. Then she became the best grandmother to her cherished grandchildren of which she had six; Dorian G. Perez, Julian M. Perez, Miguel A. Peralta, Martha A. Peralta, April Y. Garcia, and Christopher T. Garcia. She was a constant supporter to her four great-grandchildren; Scarlett R. Navarro, Leena V. Rogers, Adrian L. Rogers, and Summer A. Peralta, who will remember her love and kindness and carry it with them always. She will be thought of often by her dear siblings Rosario Perez and Jerry Jimenez (Sylvia). She will be mourned and missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Perez was preceded into the great beyond by her parents Gabriel and Hipolita Jimenez and her grandchildren Baby Perez Garcia and Dario Garcia.

Besides being there for her family, Cruz's joys were numerous. She loved to fish, hunt, camp, sew, and cook. And after all that she still found the time for the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and coloring. Her favorite game was Pokeno. Truly a one-of-a-kind woman, she will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
