Consuelo Lopez entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the age of 99 years.  She was born in Austin, Texas on November 2, 1919 to Amador and Sara Lopez Alonzo.  Consuelo was a good cook and a great dancer.  She was a fantastic grandmother to grandchildren.  She is survived by her children, Sara Medina (Armando), Rodolfo Cruz (Rosalva); eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Monday, August 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6th, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
