Charles Eugene Kappmeyer Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the age of 85 years.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 10, 1937 to Alfred and Estelle Kappmeyer.  Charles enjoyed a cold beer and listening to classic country music, gardening, fishing and hunting. Always hardworking in the yard. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a truck driver and graduated from South San High School in 1954. "Big Charles" will be missed by his entire family.  He was preceded in death by his wife Collen Kappmeyer wife of 58 years; sister Judy Covey.  Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Kappmeyer Jr. and wife Dona, James Kappmeyer and wife Jacqueline; grandchildren, Charles Kappmeyer III, Cymbrey Kappmeyer, Jordan Kappmeyer; siblings Stanley Kappmeyer, Carolyn Simpson ( Donnie); also numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be held at San Jose Burial Park on Wednesday, July 13th at 1:30 p.m. You are together again with mom.
