Charles Melvin Farr went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the age of 72 years.  He was born September 13, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Lewis W. and Josephine A. Farr.  Charles loved deer hunting, fishing, bar-b-queing, and playing practical jokes.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis W. and Josephine A. Farr; sisters, Margie Traxler and Jody Edwards; brother, Lewis Farr.  Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce Farr; children, Carol Ann (David) Jones, Charles Farr Jr., Patricia (Bubba) Gantz, Laura Farr; brothers, Sammy Joe (Barbara) Farr, Mickey Joe (Kay) Farr, Butch (Tootsie) Farr; sisters, Nancy Farr, Catherine (Albert) Quijano, Lorraine (Chuck) Hughes; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Prayer Services to be held at 7:00 p.m.  Services will conclude in the Chapel Thursday evening.
