God saw you were getting tired. And a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you And whispered, "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay, A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Celia Barrera Magallanez, went into her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 80 years old. Celia was born on March 19, 1945, to her parents Remijo and Maria Barrera, in Floresville, Texas. Celia was a very faithful Christian. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her siblings. She was a great gardener, she loved her beautiful plants. She also enjoyed her time watching the Wheel of Fortune. She was preceded in death by her spouse Apolonio Magallanez, grandchild Presley Magallanez, her parents Remijo and Maria Barrera, sisters: Mary Jane Murphy, and Gloria Guerrero; and niece Mary Tamez. She is survived by her children: Leticia Magallanez, Teresa Magallanez, Mark Anthony Barrera, and Yvonne and Yvette; grandchildren: Amanda (Daniel), Antonio (Bella), GGC, Damian, Antonio Jr. (Desmond); siblings: Antonio Barrera, and Lupe Tamez (Tomas Guerrero); nieces Marcella and Norma. Also, numerous great nieces nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service at 6:00 p.m. and a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
