It is with very heavy hearts we announce that Catarina G. Rizo went into eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 74 years old. Catarina was born to her parents Federico and Catarina Gonzales on March 16, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Federico and Catarina Gonzales, and her brothers Willie U. Gonzales, and Fred Gonzales. A few passions of Catarina's included thrifting, crocheting, reading, and cooking. Most of all she treasured her time spent with her family. She is survived by her husband Candelario Rizo-loving husband of fifty-six years; eight children: Candelario Rizo Jr. (Irma), Josephine Valenzuela (Michael), Rebecca Rizo (Rene Esparza), Fred Rizo (Joyce), Catherine Rizo (Jason Dyer), Thomas Rizo (Natalie), Christopher Rizo (Rose), and Jaime Rizo (Sally Ortiz); thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one brother Reynaldo Sanchez. Also, numerous nieces, and nephews.

Her families wishes were for a cremation.
