Candelario F. Gonzales, Jr.

August 29, 1929 – January 26, 2016

Candelario "Cande" F. Gonzales, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the age of 86 years. He worked and retired from Kelly A.F.B. Cande had a passion for bowling and look forward to his bowling days. He also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Cande was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed being surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Cande was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ted Solis; grandson, Jason Solis; and his sister, Consuelo Rangel. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Katy; children, Roy Gonzales, Barbara Solis, Robert Gonzales, Sandra Flores and husband Angel, Patty Ballesteros and husband Scott; sister, Esperanza Gonzales; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Friday, January 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 30th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South.
