Bettie Lu Reimers, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away from natural causes on October 22, 2025, in San Antonio, at the spry age of 102, just two months shy of her 103rd birthday. She was born on December 19, 1922 in Oak Island, Texas to Fannie Stanfield and David Frame. She is survived by her daughters Cindy and Michelle Doerr, Step-son Louis Cloud, grandchildren Michael and Devin Andrews, Shawn and Janique Rhyne, Alex McGraw, and Cheyenne Doerr, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Bettie Lu was preceded in death by Judy Rhyne and Vicki Doerr Fowler – her first two daughters –  and all six of her husbands.

She lived through more than most in her very full life and stayed strong till the end. She loved her family, God, art, travel, and fashion – not necessarily always in that order. She took up modeling for the Ben Shaw Modeling Agency in her 30s and always looked her best. She'd
rarely leave the house without dawning a fabulous fit, one of her infamous wigs, lipstick, and sunscreen – the gold standards for Bettie Lu. The woman also had impeccable dental hygiene and died with all of her own teeth, which she was very proud of. She was a talented artist, and
oil painting on canvas was her favorite medium. She was a cherished mother and grandmother who was loved deeply and will be missed dearly. There will never be another quite like her. Rest in Peace, Mimi.

Services:
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m., and funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at San Jose Burial Park. All who knew her (who are still alive) are invited to attend.
