Antonio Mata Jr., went into eternal rest on August 28, 2020 at the age of 58. Antonio was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 27, 1961. Antonio is preceded in death by his parents; Antonio Sr and Aurelia Mata.  Brothers; Russell Mata, Raul Mata, Ruben Mata. Sisters; Lydia Rodriguez, Eusebia Mata, Estella Mata. Antonio is survived by; his daughter; Melody Victoria Mata. Sibling's; Esparanza Freeman, Minerva Martinez (Raul), Raymond Mata, Danny Mata, Hermalinda Rangel (Henry), Leticia Garza, Sylvia Guzman, Felix Mata, Rolando Mata. Ex wife; Julie Alires. Mother in law; Estela Duran. Godson; Aiden Mata. Beloved nephews; Andrew Mata (Priscilla), Gregory Mata (Lorraine), Leonard Anthony Rangel (Amanda), Enrique Rangel Jr., Frank Garza Jr.(Celina). Numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and a host of friends. Visitation will begin on Thursday September 10, 2020 at Southside Funeral Home 6301 S. Flores San Antonio, Texas 78214 from 5pm-9pm with the reciting of the Holy Rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 11, 2020 with a 11:30 departure from Southside Funeral Home for a 12:00 mass of resurrection at St. Leonard's Catholic Church. All services will conclude after the funeral mass.
