Amelia S. Flores, born August 11, 1929 to Antonio and Anita Sepulveda, went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2016 at the age of 86. Amelia is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Anita Sepulveda; 3 sisters, Guadalupe Navarro, Maria Carrillo, Genoveva Morales; and brother, Ricardo Sepulveda. Amelia was a simple lady and a parishioner of St. Joseph (South San) Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Cuevas Florez in 1961. After his death, she became active with the V.F.W. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ida M. Flores on April 11, 2016. Amelia is survived by her sons, Ruben E. Flores of Victoria, Tx, Antonio Flores III of San Antonio, and Robert J. Flores of Bandera, Tx; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Hernandez of San Antonio; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Janie Sepulveda of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A visitation for Amelia will begin on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Joseph South San Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
