Amelia M. Guzman entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 78 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe V. Guzman Sr,; sons Joe Guzman Jr., Fred M. Guzman. She loved dancing, playing dominoes and bingo. Amelia also loved cooking for her family, she especially loved making tamales. She was the 6 ^th generation of Gregorio Esparza defender of the Alamo. Amelia is survived by her children Luis Guzman (Lucy). Jerry Guzman, Guillermo Guzman, Elaine Gonzalez; grandchildren Luis Guzman Jr., Luke Guzman, Lance Guzman, Jerry Guzman Jr., Audrey Guzman, Roman G. Gonzalez, Emile M. Gonzalez; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 S. Flores St., San Antonio, Texas 78214 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart Southside Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24th for Mass to be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in San Augustin Cemetery.
