It is with great sadness we announce that Amelia T. Gonzales has entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 09, 2025 at 85 years old. Amelia was born August 12, 1939, to her parents Arturo and Mercedes Trujillo, in Laredo, Texas. Amelia was a very passionate Sunday School teacher for over thirty-five years at El Sendero Church. She was also a member of the Golden Agers. She is survived by her two sons: Gilbert Cervera Jr. (Diane), and Paul Cervera (Dinah); stepchildren: Anna Marie Gonzales-Torres (Johnny), Ricky Gonzales (Rosa), Raymond Gonzales (Evelyn), and Elizabeth Gonzales-Hand (Darrin); five grandchildren: Homer Pahona, Jennifer Pahona, Crystal Vela (Dave), Jacquelynn D. Cervera, Nathaniel P. Cervera (Ashlie); six great grandchildren: Makayla Vela, Katelyn Vela, Jubilee Vela, Phoenix Pahona, Mikayla Rose Cervera, and Aiden Samuel Cervera; sister Mercedes Galvan, and also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fidel C. Gonzales, her parents Arturo and Mercedes Trujillo; siblings Arturo Trujillo, Manuel Trujillo, Ruben Trujillo, Beto Trujillo, Porfirio Trujillo, Alicia Rodriguez, and Diana Gonzales.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Sendero Assemblies of God Church at 9:00 a.m. with a service at 10:00 a.m. interment will follow to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
