Alvina A. Herrera went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Ramos; sons, Edward (Esperanza) Herrera and Jesse Herrera; grandchildren, Richard Ramos, Katrina De Los Santos, Celina (Abel) Ramirez, Eddie Herrera, Lisa Ann (Eric) Hillberg, Christopher (Amber) Herrera, and Brianna Herrera; great grandchildren, Tiffany, Richard, Jr. (Gabby), Nathan (Scarlet), Solomon, Noah , Zoe Skye, Matilda, Ezra, Gary, Kristina , Kalyssa, Kaylee, Byron, and Christopher; great-great grandson, Cooper; mother, Isabel Anthony, sisters, Vera (Luis) Martinez and Janie Flores; brothers, Eddie (Pauline) Anthony, Joe (Liz) Anthony, and Johnny (Carmen) Anthony; Sister-in-law, Nell Anthony; also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Friday, June 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20th for Mass to be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South.
