Alma H. Haro
Alma H. Haro entered into Heaven on May 27, 2016 at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her father Rudolph Engle Hernandez, mother Mary Pena Hernandez and her brothers Eddie Vidal & Rudolph Hernandez, Jr. She is survived by her sister Rose Tijerina, niece Norma J. Vela, nephews Rafael A. Tijerina & his wife Rosemary and Abelardo Tijerina; her grand niece Terri Ann Tijerina and grand nephews Anthony Tijerina, Rafael Carlos Tijerina and Frank I. Joseph Vela. Our aunt Alma worked for 23 years for the Harlandale I.S.D. as a school bus driver. She enjoyed her job and really cared for all the students she was assigned to. She was a life auxillary member of V.F.W. Post 4815 as well as Post 485 American Legion. She enjoyed dancing, arts, crafts and most of all she loved our Lord. She just simply loved life and lived it to the fullest. She just knew she was Going Home. We will always miss your smile and your honesty. Alma's family will be receiving visitors at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 4pm-9pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, June 2 at 9:30am for Mass at St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II.
