In great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear loved one, Alfredo Magaña Sr., who went into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 91 years old. Alfredo was born on January 11, 1934, to his parents Celestino and Sara Magaña in Beeville, Texas. Alfredo was a member of the Templo Bethel Church where he held various positions within the Men's Society at the church. In his spare time, he loved traveling. Most of all, he adored spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His greatest passions were building woodwork projects and working outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years of marriage, Lupe Magaña, two sons: Arnold N. Magaña Sr. and wife Emma, and Alfredo N. Magaña Jr. and wife Rebecca; five grandchildren: Arnold N. Magaña Jr., Adam James Magaña Sr. (Cristina), Aaron Lee Magaña, Amanda Lynn Magaña, and Jacob Nathaniel Magaña (Danielle); five great grandchildren: Alex, A.J., August, Aric, and Austin; and numerous other friends, family members, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Templo Bethel Church at 5:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow to Mission Burial Park South Cemetery.
